Kinesis Pro product update

We’re continuously making improvements to the Kinesis Pro platform to help you manage your fleet more effectively. Read more about the latest releases and enhancements below.

Auto deletion and management of videos

This update to auto-deletion and management of videos is designed to improve platform performance, manage data storage efficiently, and enhance overall security.

What’s changing:

All recorded video footage will be automatically deleted after 31 days, unless it is manually marked as 'Saved'. This applies to all camera-enabled devices.

Once this feature is live, footage older than 31 days will no longer be retrievable. Be sure to download or save any critical footage in advance.

To support this change, we’ve also made the following improvements to the Videos section:

New Video Tab: Displays both event-triggered recordings (automatically captured by alerts or events) and requested footage.
Saved Videos Tab: Users can save specific footage to prevent auto-deletion. Users with the right permissions can still delete saved videos if necessary.

Asset state report

This update introduces the ability to capture and display address details within the asset state report listing. You can now see the exact location where a state change occurred, providing greater clarity and insight.

Asset State Report Address includes:

Address Field: Selectable from standard fields when configuring reports.
Location Capture: Automatically records the address where the asset’s state changes.
Improved Reporting: Adds context to state changes, making reports easier to interpret.

Driver performance

The new feature 'Driver performance' is now available on Kinesis Pro. This feature enables you to track and score driver performance in real-time, helping you to spot risky behaviours and reward safe, efficient driving.

Key features:

Driver rating: A comprehensive score reflecting the overall driving behaviour, analysing factors such as speed, harsh braking, acceleration and other critical events.
Trip count: Tracks the total number of trips completed by each driver within a selected timeframe.
Distance and duration: Measures cumulative distance driven and total driving time to provide insights into driver activity.
Penalty events: Records and categories incidents like ‘speeding’ and ‘harsh braking’ to help identify risky behaviours.

Kinesis Pro privacy mode

The new feature 'Privacy Mode' is now available on Kinesis Pro and is designed to give you greater control over asset visibility.

Key functionality:

Privacy profiles: You can create custom privacy schedules that can be assigned to specific assets, allowing for flexible management of when tracking data is visible.

Private mode activation: When an asset enters private mode, all associated trips, events, and alerts will be hidden from the platform, ensuring confidentiality when needed.

New Kinesis Pro feature: Device health dashboard

The new ‘Device Health Dashboard’ monitors the health status of any cameras installed, helping you to proactively manage your equipment.

With this tool, you can:

Instantly check device connectivity across your fleet
Identify any offline, disconnected, or malfunctioning cameras
View the last check-in time for each device to ensure everything is working as expected
Spot potential issues before they impact your visibility or reporting

Managing and auto-deletion of videos

Video management features are now available to all Kinesis Pro users, making it easier to access, organise, and control footage.

What's new?

The new video tab is split into event triggered and requested sections for quick navigation.
The saved videos feature now lets you protect important footage from auto-deletion. This applies to both event-triggered and requested videos.
Users with the appropriate permissions will still have the option to delete saved footage if needed.

Last known location for neon devices

The 'last known location' feature is now available for all Kinesis users. This update enhances how GPS signal data is displayed, providing you with improved visibility and tracking accuracy.

What features are available?

Clearer display of last known location: Devices will now show the last known location when GPS signals are weak, ensuring better tracking continuity.
Enhanced trip history and live map features: Time stamped events for each GPS ping.

Training and guides

A new tab is now available on Kinesis Pro - the 'Training & Guides' tab. This new tab will take you directly to our Knowledge Hub for easy access to resources on using live map, trip history, geofences, reports, alerts, and more.

Train new members of staff, brush up on your knowledge, and see how to use new features to get the most from your telematics software.

Alerts and videos menu updates

We've made navigating with the Kinesis Pro menu more intuitive and user-friendly with a simplified layout for alerts and videos.

Alerts menu:

Saved alerts - view all your previous created alerts in one place
Create alerts - set up new alerts based on key events

Videos menu:

Saved videos - easily access your previously requested footage
Request video - retrieve recorded footage or instantly view real-time video from any of your vehicles with cameras installed

Trip labelling now available on Kinesis Pro

With trip labelling, you can easily assign business, private, and commute mileage, offering smarter and more adaptable ways to categorise and manage trips across your fleet.

What’s New?

Manual labelling: Assign labels directly to trips through trip history.
Default asset labels: Automatically apply default labels to trips based on asset settings, with flexibility for adjustments.
Alert-triggered labels: Automate label assignment based on specific events or triggers.

Live streaming now available on Kinesis Pro

The new 'Live Streaming' feature is now available for all Kinesis Pro users, enabling you to stream live video directly from the platform.

What's new?

Live streaming: you can now access up to 5 live streams per day, per camera.
Duration: each stream can last up to 60 seconds.
Supported devices: available for both vision-uno and vision-duo (CV200 device only).

Video request page

The page has been updated to simplify the camera footage download. What are the objectives?

Simplify the process with an improved platform,
Improve event discovery with a new layout and search function,
Unify the platform view with a standardised view across Kinesis and Kinesis Pro.

Alerts update

The functionality has been updated to save users time and effort. Users now have the ability to set up alerts for zones, idling, speeding, harsh acceleration, and harsh braking. What are the objectives?

Simplify the process to ensure users can quickly and easily configure the system to meet their needs.
Optimise the platform's use to encourage users to fully use the system for monitoring, driver performance and zones.

The page has been updated to enhance operational efficiency and improve overall customer experience:

Additional Tile Options: More specific categories to streamline the inquiry process,
Important Required Fields for Supplementary Information: Ensuring we gather all necessary details upfront to address customer needs promptly,
Request Training Feature: A new option for customers to request training sessions directly through the form,
Cancellations Tile: This will include a prompt for a follow-up call to address customers' concerns and help retain them.
