S&S Tire selects Radius for telematics solution

One of the USA’s most successful regional independent tire distributors, Kentucky-headquartered S&S Tire, has selected a telematics solution from Radius.
The S&S Tire footprint encompasses 3 retail tire stores, 14 commercial truck tire centers, 2 tire retreading plants, and 13 wholesale tire distribution centers that do business in 18 states and employ over 550 people.
The company operates a fleet of over 250 vehicles that will be fitted with the telematics solution, allowing the business to track the location of its vehicles at all times, to ensure the safety and security of its drivers and enhance the experience delivered to its valued customers.
S&S Tire began piloting the Radius solution in November 2024, with the company impressed by the ease of use of the product, as well as the customer service and support received throughout the process.
“Although we had vehicle tracking in place, we were looking to find a partner that we could work with, that offered the products we need and the customer service to go with them,” said Tim Nicholson, Safety Manager at S&S Tire. “The Radius team have been fantastic to work with, offering outstanding service and support, and we’re delighted to move forward following a successful pilot period.”
S&S Tire will be utilizing a telematics solution including vehicle tracking, vehicle cameras, route optimization and Electronic Logging Devices (ELD). The solution will give the S&S Tire team an effective way to manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, responding to customer needs, and ensuring safety and compliance.
