To ensure a safe and seamless installation experience, it’s important to work with approved installers specialising in EV infrastructure. At Radius Charge, our engineers are qualified electricians to the latest regulations (National Wiring Rules for Electrical Installations I.S. 10101:2020) and are registered with Safe Electric Ireland. In addition, if you want to take advantage of one of the EV charging grants available from the Irish Government, it’s essential to use SEAI-approved installers for the work. We’ll send you quotes for our recommended hardware and solution, supporting you in choosing the installation location, advising a cable route, and organising your installation date.
4. Expert installation
Our qualified engineers will install your chosen charger to the agreed specifications. This usually takes around 4 hours to complete.
5. Demonstration
Once installed, the engineer will tidy the area, test your charger, and show you how it easy it is to operate. Afterwards, our dedicated customer support team is available to answer any questions and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Preparing for your EV charger installation
Once you’ve completed your survey, chosen your hardware and your installation date has been booked, there are a few things you can do to prepare to ensure a smooth and seamless installation:
Ensure that the cable route and the installation area are free from furniture, stored items, or any other potential tripping hazards. Any obstructions may cause delays or prevent the installation from taking place.
We’ll need to connect to your Wi-Fi to enable your charger’s smart features, so have your password to hand so we can test the connection before the engineer leaves.
Ensure the key decision maker can be present during the installation, and that there is easy access to your fuse board and electricity meter. For safety reasons, we also ask that children and pets are kept away from the working area until the installation is fully completed.
The engineer will need to switch off the power supply for part of the installation, which can be up to 2 hours depending on the size of the installation.
