In February 2025, a worried customer contacted the Radius Investigations Unit to report the theft of a telehandler worth over £50,000. The equipment had been stolen overnight at their site in Salford, and the customer was desperate to see its return.

Fortunately, the telehandler was fitted with a Radius asset recovery tracker, ensuring the location of the stolen asset was detected as soon as it became live. The device became live one hour after the initial call and showed it to be in Bolton. Five minutes later, our investigator was on their way. They arrived at the scene 20 minutes later and immediately began the search.

Our investigator instantly detected signals down a dirt track, where they managed to locate the telehandler within a secure compound on a disused car park. The machine had been driven through a wooded area to hide it from view.

The investigator informed the customer, who was relieved to know it would be returned safe and sound.
