ARH Group
Based in Shrewsbury, the ARH Group provides integrated electrical, mechanical, and fire services within the facilities management, building services and process engineering sectors. The group runs a large fleet of 80 vans that are used to transport specialist engineers to clients nationwide.

The Problem
With vans located all across the country, ARH Group faced challenges when keeping track of vehicle locations and condition. They wanted a system to help them plan jobs efficiently and communicate accurate ETAs to their clients, as well as providing data on vehicle usage and driver behaviour.
Tom, Fleet Supervisor, explained: ‘If you have that nationwide coverage and you never see the van, you need something that’s going to tell you how that van's being treated…I need to make sure that they’re mobile.’
Additionally, they were also experiencing issues with the functionality of their vans due to the use of supermarket fuel.

The Solution
After reviewing other camera products on the market, ARH Group decided on Radius to implement a comprehensive tracking system that suited their needs. They went with a forward-facing dash cam solution on the Kinesis Pro system with live video streaming and full van tracking capabilities.
After mentioning how his strengths are not in technology, Tom Griffiths remarked: ‘Using the interface is something that I've found particularly easy.’
He also stated,‘I don't think I've come across anything yet where I have phoned up, asked, and I haven't had an answer that's been satisfactory.’
In addition to the tracking system, Radius provided fuel cards that had national coverage but blocked supermarket usage, ensuring the type of fuel going into the vehicles was always regulated. Tom stated: ‘It’s systems like this that really help.’

Results
Since using the Vision Uno cameras, ARH Group has been able to accurately keep track of vehicle locations, ensuring jobs are arranged efficiently and their clients are always well informed with ETAs. If any delays occurred, they could tap into the system, view the live footage and check if the driver was stuck in traffic. This could then be communicated to the customer, improving their overall service, limiting customer dissatisfaction and improving trust.
Tom highlighted the importance of good communication: ‘If we tell the client we're going to be there in 45 minutes and we're there in 45 minutes, then we're doing what we say, which reassures them that we know what we're doing.’
Data showing where the vans are, where they’ve been, and how they’ve been driven has proven helpful for spotting any discrepancies in work patterns, flagging if the business needs to pay for tolls, and providing an impartial witness for any incidents. “Our drivers understand that actually it protects them just as much as it helps us to monitor what’s going on”, said Tom.
Additionally, they were surprised by how much the cameras benefited their insurance rates and sped up the overall claims resolution process. Tom emphasised, ‘I didn't realise quite how much cameras would save off our insurance premium; that was a pleasant surprise’.

Conclusion
Since partnering with Radius, the ARH Group has achieved complete visibility over their fleet, which has significantly enhanced operational efficiency. They now have immediate access to their data whenever they log into the system, which has proved invaluable for managing their fleet and communicating with their clients.
‘I can definitely recommend your system,’ Tom concluded.
