Radius has joined international development organisation, Transaid, as a corporate partner. Transaid was founded more than 25 years ago by The Princess Royal, Save The Children, and the CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport). It's mission to improve road safety and access to essential healthcare in the developing world, primarily focused at sub-Saharan Africa.

The three-year partnership agreement was announced last week at Transaid’s annual showcase event in London, in the presence of its patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, industry professionals, partners and friends of the charity.

Lee Everett, Group Chief Executive Officer at Radius, said: “The whole Radius organisation is looking forward to beginning our partnership with Transaid, supporting their critical work in improving road safety and access to healthcare in Africa. We are proud to support Transaid and beyond our financial contribution, we want to share our wider expertise in the mobility industry and the skills of our staff.”

Radius joins 32 corporate partners from across the transport and logistics industry, contributing time, expertise and resources to Transaid projects across sub-Saharan Africa.

Maddy Matheson, Head of Fundraising at Transaid, said: “The unrestricted funds we receive from our corporate partners allow us to pilot new projects prior to bidding for donor funding, just as we did developing our first road safety projects in Tanzania and Zambia. Radius joins an impressive and growing network of corporate members, whose collective support is invaluable.”
