Here’s everything you need to know before taking your mobile abroad. This guide walks you through key steps to stay in control of your usage and avoid unexpected charges while you’re away.
Charges can vary depending on your network and billing provider. Your tariff guide will show the costs for each destination by zone.

If you want to use data while you’re abroad, make sure you turn on data roaming on your phone.
If your plan doesn’t include roaming in the country you’re going to, get in touch with us to discuss your options.
Set spending limits on calls, texts and other services.
A spend cap allows you to limit the amount of extra spending when you’ve gone over your contractual limit, which ensures you stay in control of how much you spend.

To use voicemail abroad, set up your PIN before you travel for security reasons.
Vodafone
Call 121 and follow the instructions to set up your PIN. You can dial 121 when you’re abroad to listen to your voicemail.
O2
Call 901 and follow the instructions to set up your PIN.
EE
Press and hold '1' on your keypad, or call 07953 222 222, press 3 for settings, then 3 again to set your PIN. To access your voicemail from abroad, call +447953 222 222.

View your outstanding data charges in the Radius Connect billing portal.

Data-heavy apps like video streaming, social media and music streaming can eat through your allowance quickly. We recommend downloading content over WiFi before you travel.

When you arrive, you’ll receive a welcome text with calling and data costs, plus emergency numbers for your destination.
