Radius unlocks access to Milence’s pan-European charging network for electric HGV fleets

At Radius, we are committed to helping businesses make the transition to electric vehicles as practical, efficient and scalable as possible. That is why we are pleased to provide customers with access to the Milence EV charging network, a growing pan-European infrastructure designed specifically for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).

Built to support long-haul freight operations, the Milence network offers purpose-built charging hubs, high-power charging and strategic locations across key logistics corridors in Europe. This gives fleet operators greater confidence when planning electric journeys across borders and helps support the wider shift towards more sustainable road freight.

Supporting the transition to electric freight

Heavy-duty transport plays an essential role in Europe’s economy, but it also represents one of the biggest opportunities for decarbonisation. As more operators look to electrify their fleets, reliable and high-performance charging infrastructure is becoming a crucial part of making the transition work in practice.

Milence launched its first charging hub in the Netherlands in 2023 and now has 38 operational hubs across Europe, with further expansion planned across major logistics regions. The network has been developed to help fleets charge more easily while on the move, supporting a practical and scalable shift to electric freight transport.

Charging infrastructure designed for HGVs

Through access to the Milence network, Radius EV charge card customers can benefit from charging infrastructure created specifically for trucks. The hubs are designed with the space, accessibility and power required for heavy-duty, long-haul operations, helping drivers charge more efficiently while keeping disruption to a minimum.

The network also includes ultra-fast charging technology, including Megawatt Charging System capability, helping to reduce downtime and keep vehicles moving efficiently across Europe’s logistics routes. For fleet operators managing long-distance journeys, this level of charging availability and performance can play an important role in route planning and operational confidence.

Smarter route planning for electric journeys

Radius customers can locate nearby charging stations through the Radius e-route app, available on the App Store and Google Play. This makes it easier for drivers and fleet managers to plan routes, find suitable charging locations and manage electric journeys across Europe.

As electric HGV adoption continues to grow, connected charging corridors will become increasingly important for supporting seamless cross-border transport. With continued investment and strong backing for freight electrification across Europe, networks such as Milence are helping create the infrastructure needed for cleaner, smarter and more efficient movement of goods.

Helping fleets prepare for the future

For fleet operators, access to the Milence network offers a range of practical benefits, including more reliable charging availability, greater predictability on longer routes and future-ready operations aligned with wider sustainability and decarbonisation goals. As electric adoption scales, fleets may also benefit from lower operating costs over time.

Matt Kirby, Managing Director, EV Division at Radius, commented:

“The transition to electric freight depends on infrastructure that works in the real world for heavy-duty operators. By giving our customers access to the Milence network, we’re helping make long-haul electric transport a more practical and achievable reality across Europe.”

This latest development reflects Radius’s continued commitment to supporting businesses as they adapt to new mobility needs, reduce emissions and prepare their fleets for the future of transport.
