GTI is a specialist tipper business operating across muckaway and stone supply services in the South West of England. With a fleet of 36 vehicles and a busy daily operation servicing off-road and on-road sites, they operate in a high-pressure environment where logistics and safety go hand-in-hand.

Nine months before working with Radius, GTI faced a significant challenge when a driver error caused a serious motorway incident, leading to a large insurance claim, road closures, and investigations. Although GTI was cleared and praised for strong operations, the incident doubled
insurance premiums and caused two years of disruption and reputational risk. GTI had proactive risk measures in place but needed to rebuild insurer confidence and manage rising insurance risk.


GTI quickly reduced risks by installing tipping alarms, reinforcing mobile phone policies, and emphasising daily driver risk assessments, especially for off-road jobs. However, they needed external support to manage rising insurance costs and risks.
