Could someone be sending emails in your business's name?

Why email authentication matters

Your customers and suppliers rely on emails from your business every day, whether they're receiving quotes, invoices, payment details or important updates. But what if someone could send fraudulent emails that appear to come directly from your business?

Without the right email authentication measures in place, cybercriminals may be able to impersonate your email domain, potentially misleading customers, redirecting payments and damaging your brand and reputation.

What could email impersonation cost your business?

Fraudulent invoices

A customer receives an invoice appearing to come from your business, but the payment details direct their money to a fraudster

Customer impersonation scams

Criminals pose as your business to request sensitive information or persuade customers to follow fraudulent instructions

Fake supplier communications

Fraudulent emails sent in your company's name can mislead suppliers, disrupt operations and undermine trusted relationships

Is my business email domain already protected?

Using Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or another trusted email provider doesn't automatically mean your domain has effective DMARC protection in place. Without the right authentication policies, unauthorised senders may still be able to impersonate your business.

Radius can help you check your domain's current authentication setup and identify where protection could be strengthened.

Demystifying DMARC

Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) helps prevent fraudsters from impersonating your business through your email domain.

It works with two authentication methods to verify legitimate emails:

Sender Policy Framework (SPF): Identifies email servers authorised to send emails from your business domain(s)

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM): Uses digital email signatures to verify the sending domain and message integrity

DMARC combines these checks to help email providers, such as Outlook, identify unauthorised messages, which can be sent to spam or rejected depending on your policy.
